Definitely get well Navy! These things are lousy - I am getting to be old hat at them.
For a change (knock on wood) there is no uti! I shouldn't say that too loud. I always seem to get one before my infusion just to muck things up a little. Makes the office staff really work when they have to reschedule. The Cipro does work well on most uti's I must admit for me.
Did they prescribe a steroid nose spray too this time navy? It does help.

I have one, too, guess it's going around. I have heard that from the doctors so many times. They don't know what's wrong, so "It's a bug that's going around." I'm on Cipro, too, because of the possibility of a UTI, and the Cipro will work on it, too.
I always wondered how the pills know where to go! That's kind of like the kids asking why the sky is blue. LOL Get well, people. I'm talking to myself, too.

"kelly" <kelly.e1@xxxxxxx> wrote in message news:HZRMk.30338$YN3.6319@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI got so used to sinus infections with enbrel that I can live with them for quite a while. Also when I have an infection my RA pain goes down a little (probably because I am doing little but sleeping - very little walking). Unfortunately now though the neuro pain increases with infections of any kind so it balances out.
I just wanted no antibiotics this time. Seems lately the yeast infections increase with the antibiotics no matter how many steps I take. You just can't win.
But yes it was the pain and fatique that drove me to the doctor. He sure didn't spend any time looking at me - my cheeks were red and could tell they were inflamed. Guess I waited a little too long. Oops.
Thanks DeeTee.

Feel better soon, Hon.

"kelly" <kelly.e1@xxxxxxx> wrote in message news:fowMk.7981$V35.432@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI have had a cold since the 7th that just keeps on inventing itself. Today I decided enough was enough and the holistic stuff I was doing just wasn't cutting it. The fatique was the worst - I just can't keep from dragging everywhere and have basically been spending most of my time in bed the last 2 weeks. 2 days ago my girl friend said it sounded like I had a sinus infection (we were talking on the phone). I said I figured I could keep treating it with rinses, steaming, compresses etc. My mom gave me heck yesterday and said I should go to the doctor. Yeah, yeah. Said I was sure it would go away.
Not. So today I went to a walk in clinic (didn't feel I could safely drive 1/2 hour to my doctor even if I could get in.). The doctor spent all of 5 minutes and sent me away with antibiotics saying it wasn't going away without them and I really should have been in earlier.
In these days of them not wanting to give out antibiotics it is hard to remember that we have compromised auto immune systems and it is sometimes hard to avoid it.
So remember to go with what your brain tells you - it is probably right.
Off to bed. At least it isn't in my chest - just solid in the sinuses. Reminds me of the good old days of enbrel - NOT GOOD old days.
