Re: Thoughts and prayers for those who no longer post

I'm there. I'll make this part of the solstice ritual. I have been
thinking with a great sadness about people who are missing. Larry,
Lori, Donna H, and Diane are missed but I had closure with each one of

Connie and Maureen, Sarah,Cooly, Melissa and Bruce. I know people get
busy but I love hearing from Kenny, Kimmy, Jayne, Amy on the rare
occasions when they post. It is so strange to share the tears and
laughter, hopes and frustrations with someone daily for years and
then suddenly they are absent. I think we need to have a formal once
a year candle lighting for those who no longer come here to play.

I feel guilty now for not posting for a long time, so thought I'd check in.

I had my second knee replacement in September 07 and am doing great these
days. A few niggles and shoulders hurt sometimes, but otherwise the Enbrel
and methotrexate are suiting me very well.

Real life is a pain this year - I've had to go back to work full time as my
other half has been made redundant after 30 years in the same job (and with
just 8 years to go to retirement age). So things are tight as we still have
a couple of years on the mortgage left. However, things could be a lot
worse and I'm positive that something will turn up for him after Christmas.

I do read from time to time to keep in touch with what is happening here
however, and often think of you all.

What a lovely surprise, Jayne. I'm glad your arthritis i s under
control but wish you were able to just enjoy it rather than going back
to work. I think there is not one person i know who is not wondering
how they are going to make ends meet. I certainly hope we will see
some light at the end of some tunnel this next year. Merry Christmas
to you and if you do ever hear from Maureen tell her Hi from me.

Here's what I think we should do: we should have a reunion this
summer and try to get all of our old members to post during our
reunion. A thought for sure, but one that would be fun to work on.
