Re: goofy question about arthritis/wrist

There is no specific time limit. It varies from person to person and injury
to injury. You may have reinjured it, or it may be arthritis, or it could be
tendonitis or .... I only play at medicine here. Go see your doctor and stop
tormenting yourself over this. Someone with some real credentials should be
looking at this soon.

ok, goofy question and i can use the assistance finding the answer, if you
would be so kind, please.

as most of you know, 3 or 4 years ago i fell (i can't remember exactly
when.LOL) and i shattered and/or pulverized all 7 bones in my wrist, broke
off the end/balls of both forearm bones (dislocating the wrist) and
completely severed my thumb tendon at that same left wrist site. and all
of
that required 3 surgeries to make look, and almost function, normal again.

i'm thinking/guessing that arthritis might be causing the pain i've been
recently experiencing, past month or so, in that wrist now (it is now
excruciating to even gently raise a loose, lightweight blanket over me
using
the back of my hand. more strenuous use of that wrist requires a bit of
courage.) but then, on the otherhand, my brain is arguing that it is much
too soon for arthritis to develop in that wrist already.

i've been all over the web, as much as this wrist can stand and can't find
the answer to this question: what is the average length of time it takes
for arthritis to develop in a traumatically injured wrist? i'm trying to
figure out who i need to go see about this. if it can't be arthritis,
then
i don't need to see my rd, but maybe my ortho or pcp instead.

thanks, you guys.
