Well after seeing my ortho yesterday and finding out my leg is still
not healing and with the RA and osteoporosis I've decided to go on
disability. This is a huge decision and not easily made. As many of
you already know. Still when you run out of workable options... So now
the wait begins. As far as my leg we are gonna try a bone stimulator.
Anyone with experience with that or Forteo for bone building? Kate
((((((((((((((Kate)))))))))))))) Remember, disability doesn't have to be a
permanent decision. Once your leg is healed and you're fully rehabbed,
should you decide to return to work it is perfectly permissable to start
looking around. But right now you need to get the leg in better shape. And
there are always part-time & volunteer options should a full-time job
continue to be out of question.
No experience with either route for bone-building, but I've heard of many who
benefit from them. I also know they sometimes use hyperbaric therapy to
speed bone healing.
