Kelly,
It's really hard for me to kind of tell if the rituxan was as hard this
time as the other times, as I had the ivig infusions just before, so was
a bit difficult to sort out some of the side effects and know which ones
were from which set of infusions.
Will probably be able to tell better this coming week after the second
infusion.
At least there is some relief of the all over flare from the large dose
of solu-cortef that they give you for the infusions. Plus the
orthopedic guy did say he thought some of my other pain, especially in
my hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, etc was from the way I was compensating
for the pain in my thumb/hand. He said he thought by the time he sees
me back in 4 weeks that the other pain would quiet down significantly
because I wouldn't be compensating so much. We'll see.
The ortho doc also said several times that he was so thankful that he
had decided to do the xrays on my hand. I guess in the long run I will
be thankful too if he can get the pain better controlled and the
situation taken care of.
Glad your second round of infusions went smoothly again and that despite
the sore throat things didn't get too bad. Let your body rest till you
make it through the fatigue part that we know always comes, drink lots
of fluids, and hope you start noticing the rituxan kicking in soon!!!
