Sorry to hear of the gallstone issue, but I'm glad you're not having any
major symptoms at this point. Having gallstones can be a very painful
thing at times. Like the others have said, they usually do the surgery
to remove your gallbladder laproscopically now and it really isn't a bad
surgery at all. 3-4 very small incisions and usually this procedure is
done on an outpatient basis and you are back home in a few hours. When
I had mine done back in '93, I had it done on a thursday and was back to
work on monday with no problems. Pain was very minimal. Of course,
everyone is different in how they respond to things though.

Gotta say though, don't miss the ole gall bladder and all the pain and
misery it caused!
