You know, it was much harder to post after AOL stopped doing
newsgroups. so this morning I reply to Kate and there is a validation
code I have to type in. When did this start and what purpose does it
serve except to make posting more difficult. Any one reading ASA not
through Google groups and are you all having to read and type a
validation code every time you respond to a post/

i'm soooo glad to see your post! (lost your phone number when i got a new
cell phone and the chip from the old phone didn't transfer half the contact
list.)
validation code for every post?--geesh. that sounds like a tedious drag.
it also sounds like aol came up with this as a regulating gimic to try to
cut down their load on the number of messages transversing their servers.
like, "make is harder for our customers so that they get slowed down by the
extra step and won't send as many messages."
