we last took food a couple of years ago, not knowing if anthing would be open in the airports on Xmas Day. We just went with some apples and granola bars and had no problem getting them through. My mom and sister took string cheese (which i personally dislike) with us to Germany last year with no problems.
the mos recent report I heard had non-alcoholic drinks still available at no cost on board, but you might be better off buying a bottle of water inside security. Come to think of it - I wonder if you could just take an empty water bottle through security, then fill it from an airport water fountain instead of having to spend the money on a bottle that probabl won't be recycled anyway.
Yea, I'm thinking of putting my water bottle in my carry on and just taking it out and filling it at a water fountain. I don't drink soda anymore...just wondering if they have bottled water on the plane. I'm not drinking that re-filtered stuff...yuck!
