Thanks, Adelle. I dont eat PBJ anymore so no problem there. In fact I don't eat anything with high fructose corn syrup, or anything that has stuff in it that I can't pronounce :)

I brought a water bottle from home, making sure it was empty for going through security. Then filled it at a bubbler in the waiting area pre-boarding. The food/water at the airport is so expensive. And I don't trust the water on board after a news feature on how the clean the planes, re-stock water and such. Towards the end of a longer flight, water may not always be the fresh stuff pumped aboard, but could be re-filtered gray water from handwashing. Totally grossed me out. I also brought fruit, protein bars, and such. For domestic US travel, I saw even sandwiches were ok, as long as it wasn't peanut butter or PBJ because they show up like plastic explosives on the xray machine. Last travel time, I did splurge and bought a grilled Caesar salad at one of the airport food places after going through security. Garnered a few jealous stares as I enjoyed a yummy dinner while seat mates ate crackers.
