Just got a call from the surgeon's office. He has decided since his
schedule is so crazy he's not going to see patients on Thursdays anymore.
So they rescheduled me AGAIN. This time to Tuesday the 11th and the nurse
assures me I will be seen this time. I asked if she promised because it
was the 29th, then the 6th, and now the 11th and I still have the hernia.
She promised I will be seen Tuesday.

While on the grand scheme of karma it is not good to lie, if they try to put
you off again, tell them the pain is increasing. That would make them
concerned that it could be developing into an emergency situation.

My mother (of blessed memory) put off her hernia surgery for more than a
year. It strangulated and required emergency surgery in the middle of the
night. Not the better way to go about things.
