I had the tube taken out of my arm yesterday and today, I saw the
oncologist. I'm doing very well. The chemo is finished and I don't have to
go to them again for three whole months. Yipeee!

On the other hand, my PCP has found that I am having blood pressure and
blood sugar issues. Sigh. I am taking both three times a day and the results
are not too good. It looks as though they may be adding a blood pressure
medication to my cocktail and possibly a diagnosis of diabetes. I have been
trying to be good to get the numbers down so that diet alone will suffice.
No luck so far. My fasting blood sugar readings have been 116ish and higher.
I may get away with just pre-diabetes, but my doctors are pretty aggressive
about disease so we'll have to wait until next week when she sees the
results of the 3X day monitoring.

in to a count of 4; hold breath to a count of 7; release breath to a count
of 8. do that 4 times in a row, for a total of 1 min. 15 seconds. do that
4 times a day for a total of 5 minutes per day, for all 4 times inclusive.
that should help lower your blood pressure. mine was like 185/115 when
butch was so ill. i'm now down to 117/76 on a regular basis, with no meds
(well, except for the bp spikes because of broken bones and that injury
pain). that's the only thing i did to get my bp back down. it really can
help.

I guess it never really ends, does it?
