OTP: My roommate in the hosp.

When I was in the hospital this last time, I shared the room with this
cute little lady who was 87, and perhaps about 5' tall. She was just
the sweetest thing.

She was in for dehydration, so the day before she was discharged, the
nurse was in the room giving her the standard spiel about how much
fluids she needed to try to drink each day to keep herself well hydrated
and from getting into trouble again. The lady asked if it all had to
be water, and the nurse said no, it could be juice, or soda, or milk,
or........ the little lady asked in such a sweet innocent voice, does
vodka count? ROFL!!! I thought I was going to fall right out of my
bed I was laughing so hard! The nurse was stunned and it took her a
minute or two to regain her composure and say, no, vodka doesn't count
because it can dehydrate you! too funny!!!

Later on that day, same lady is talking to her daughter and two sons who
have come to visit. Lady says "these doctors around here talk to me
like I am on my last breath or something. I got to damned many things
to do before I go anywhere!!!" I am again again chuckling to myself and
thinking, boy, I hope I have half that much spunk in me when I get to be
that age!!!

She was so funny and just cracked me right up. I was truly sorry to see
her go home!

Just had to share those stories. They still make me giggle when ever I
think about them!!!
