I've been under doctor's care for this for about five years now. I
have FMS. That pain is felt in two circles on both sides of my
sternum and one rib below the collar bone-about 2 1/2 inches in
diameter. I feel the inflammation between the ribs and the sternum in
different places and different numbers. But I can always say which
ribs are hurting. And yes the pain starts very suddenly and goes away
when it is ready. In the mean time, I stay still. Normal medicine
for inflammation and FMS is all that I take. I don't do anything
special when it hurts.
Hope this helps and makes sense!
