hey yall... i have been quite negligent in checking in. sorry. this is
the first time i have turned my computer on in a week. will be moving
in to new digs in less than 2
weeks.AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH...........
my god i look at the place and still cant believe we have gotten this
far. Have ended up doing at least 60% of the work ourselves(me and
lucy). doing all the finish work. Actually did all the rough except
for the major plumbing and elec. Assisted on both of those. Got all my
greywater lines in so am recycling over 80% of water plus catching all
my rainfall. I do not know most days how i will get thru and i dont
always. it has taken nearly twice as long because of my health.
Sometimes its the limitations caused by the joints that all need
replaced and sometimes its the lack of energy. you know the drill.
Each morning is a crap shoot on whether i will be able to get out of
bed or get my cloths on un-aided. Thank 'doc' for CORTISONE....
I wouldnt trade a minute of it for anything. Its truly a nightmare/ i
mean_dream come true. >g<...
I have loved it. for us its just a Big art installation except we are
going to live in this one. Will be putting up the web site this
summer. Have taken thousands of photos. Im wiped. was up past 9 to
watch my poor suns get beat. a bit depressing but the series isnt over
yet. Those dirty spurs are going down in 7.>bg< But speaking of art
installations. Our Interactive VR installation about folks dying in
the desert crossing into arizona will be showing again in San Diego in
july at SIGGRAPH. If your in S. Cal and interested let me know. It has
shown at 5 museums now for about 18 months. Still getting good
responses.
Acacia is in colorado and doing great. Takes Aikido twice a week and
loves it. Swims twice a week and is liking it better. He is a
sweetheart with way too much energy.>g< We love every secomd we get to
share with him. Hopefully a couple of months this summer.
I truly dont have time to read and catch up yet but I send all my best
and hope everyone is doing well.
high desert grateful hugs,
johnie
