A house

Well we won't be homeless (not that my husband ever doubted we would get a
rental house but I sure was getting discouraged. ) We have a rental until
October 31st but our new house will be finished by October 15th so that is
great.

Our new place is on the waterfront where the BC Ferries start to come in.
We don't see the docking but can see the Ferries swing around and lots of
sailboats. The side of the house that overlooks the water is all windows
and one large fireplace so is nice.

The yard is inaccessible to me but that is okay for 5 months. The house has
a large deck but the front and back yard are all hill with grass. 4 steps
to get in and out of the house but I can handle that (2 and then another 2.)
If needed we can ramp it but think I can do it. I will not be able to do
laundry - that will fall to the housekeepers and Pat (tough luck).

The house itself is a picture - yuck! It has turquoise fixtures in the
powder room bathroom, 3 bathrooms upstairs and 1 downstairs. The walls and
ceilings are 3" cedar but the light fixtures are right out of the 60's or
70's. Big wood wagonwheel type with metal hanging on them. Yuck! The
carpet is rust and orange shag. Triple yuck. But its is clean, they will
take the dog and cat and it is for 6 months so it is okay. We take
possession May 15th and have until June 15th to move out of here.

So things are looking up. I am in an incredible amount of pain and fatique
but am trying to take my painkillers a bit more to reduce that. I go see my
rd a week tomorrow and will try to get the rituxan started. Really need to
ensure I am healthy before that. The shingles still have residual nerve
pain and itching. I also have a pain in my side which comes and goes that
needs to be checked out. Hard to tell these days where the pain starts and
stops. Trying hard to stay upbeat and managing okay. I feel I am bitching
but everyone around me says no I am not - must be doing a good job of
spreading it around.

Anyhow things are looking up. One less stressor in my life and am really
excited about the new house! Moving in October sure beats moving in
December!

Take care everyone,
Kelly in BC
