Well, I did it! Thanks to Adelle's gentle nudging, I made an
appointment with an attorney for tomorrow. The first one I called didn't
seem interested in helping me, and I was just going to pack it in, but
then a little inner voice told me to call this other one. He was really
nice. I told him my basic story, and I have an appointment tomorrow. He
said he'd see what he could do to help me.

So we shall see :-)

Thanks again, Adelle!

Hugsies,
Carole

Good to read and steps that need to be taken. Just keep in mind that
this is not a gift from your help. You will either pay for his service
or a part of anything he improves for you.

Actually, Harvey - that depends. If Carole is able to recover funds via
Worker's Compensation laws, it should cost her nothing. The state pays the
attorneys fees. It's a difficult case to prove. But that doesn't mean it
shouldn't be explored. It would have been a bit easier if Carole had
pursued this when she first got sick. But even I didn't catch it could be
a 'work related injury' until recently.

:-) Someone pays,,,, when you say the state,,, the federal,,,, its not
free,,, we pay you and I with our taxes but the important thing is people
that need help get it. Your advice is exactly what is needed to help
Carole get the help she needs. Some people are shocked by how much they
have to pay the lawyer for the help working the way through what it takes in
Compensation and Soc.Sec. cases for disability. You would not be and I
would not be because we have been there for ourselves or for others.
Its called support,,,, and you do it so well.
