Where are....? (Mary, Dawn, Jo, ladyandy, Amy, KJ, Cush, Deebee, Dr. Susan, Larry's Susan,and on and on....

Can we pull people back in for just a brief period of time? I would
love to figure out why this once very active group and gotten so small
and where are people who have touched my life so profoundly. Maybe we
can do a little walk down memery lane. You know though, it is much
more than that...

I think the process of reaching out and trying to form a community
through this newsgroup process is extraordinary.
I do not believe we have to be able to physically see each other to
touch hearts and extend hands. It is an act of courage to decide to
truly care about people you meet in cyberspace. This group has gone
further to make relationships real. We have had gimp picnics and gimp
fests, secret sender projects, and cookie exchanges, holiday cards and
cards to all of us from Jo. We have collected money for memorials and
talked for hours on the phone.

These connections are not casual and can be deeper that imaginable as
we understand the fears and triumphs that come with these diseases
often as much as family can understand. We become another family for
each other.

My sense of loss when Donna Holt and Larry died was as deep and
profound as the loss of close family. I have not had Donna G or Gwen
off of my mind (or out of my heart) for a minute this last week. Even
in this last two years as I have not posted much or often, I would hold
you all in my heart and think of you at odd times. It enhanced me to
do that.

We all have a history together, not just old members or active member,
but all of us. We share dailyness, which is one of the strongest kinds
of intimacy.

So, just for purely selfish reasons, I propose we first do a I wonder
where__________ is? Ideally it would be wonderful if you know where to
reach out to any of these people, could you give them a little shout
and maybe they could check in for just a day.

So where is Mary Z, Dawn, Jo Fiery, Amy, KJ, Cush, Deebee, Dr. Susan,
Larry's Susan, Porter, Kenny, Kiki, Thelma, gloria? I know there are
many others but these people popped in just now as I was remebering
when....
