Gary, I still have some pain and stiffness, a little numbness in my right
knee, after getting a total knee replacement 5 years ago. My doctor is of
the opinion that wherever there is a joint involved, there will be some
pain; also, in my case most of the pain, we feel, is due to the Fibromyalgia
in my muscles. But, I can walk well and I still feel it was a success. I
don't plan another surgery in that knee unless the surgeon indicates there
is a need. I know we like to think that replacement joints should "fix"
everything, pain included, but I don't think that's a realistic result, at
least not in my case. Nanny

Hi.....
I had total knee replacement on my right knee in October od
2003. Surgery
went well, I did all the rehab ordered but to this day I have stiffness
on the top and
on the right side of the knee.
Anyone else have difficulties like this?? Is it worth
getting a second
opinion or does it come with have the TKR??
I'm fairly active, walk 30 minutes or more several times a
week and ride a stationary
bike several times a week. looking forward to your
responses.....
thanks Gary
