I am sorry to say that the sun for the last couple of years has
been
over active and we are paying the price today and tomorrow. All the
satellites and our brave people in the space station are in peril.
There
are people that think (bad spelling) the comet Halebop and its satellite
are
in a tight spiral around the sun causing the expanding of the sun or at
least changing the ele. field of the sun.

You might want to ignore those people in the future, as they clearly
don't know what they're talking about. Comet Hale-Bopp is speeding away
from the Sun, already further away than Saturn, and it's not expected to
return in the next couple thousand years.

This is not something for you and I to worry about because there is
nothing we can do about it other than like you,,, do the best we can
with what we have and ride it out.

Well, we can't affect the Sun's activity, of course. Anyway, as far as
I know, the possibility hasn't been ruled out beyond reasonable doubt
that our greenhouse gas emissions _may_ contribute significantly to
global warming. If they do, then there is something we can and must do
to avoid dangerously hot weather from becoming more and more common in
the future.

I think you are very smart in your attitude toward taking care of
yourself. A lot of people are going to die that think it is not
something
to worry about and are too active in the heat of the day.

I agree.

Taneli H

Thank you for your reply. There was this photograph put on the net by one
of the big scopes in Hawaii that showed something in a tight orbit of the
sun. It was withdrawn from the net. It is good to know that comet is on
its way out of the system for awhile. I wonder what was caught on that
plate?
Aaah, yes,,,, the greenhouse effect. Someone should put a cork in the
volcanoes around the world,,, Problem solved. I worry more about the
damage being done the oxygen making green stuff in the ocean which makes
most of what we breath even if the rain forest was completely gone. We
need to take care of the oceans that take care of us. Aaaah well,,,
everyone can do their part. My car gets 34 miles to the gallon,,,, how
about yours?
