Lyrica: Has anyone used this for pain?

Doctor just handed me a few boxes of Lyrica..pfizer product.
I have constant leg and feet problems from my herniated disc's and
spinal stenosis.

I hope he just isn't throwing something at me that just came into his
office.
I can't find much out about it online.
