not surprising, symantec/norton are notorious for this. ZoneAlarm offers a pro version and antivirus combination. If you're going to purchase something, purchase that. Or buy the stand alone zonealarm pro and a license for AVG from grisoft.com. Both of these programs also offer free for home use versions.

It seems as if the program changed something in
my computer, and so my yahoo messenger does not work, websites where
you have to sign in do not work, and certain buttons do not work when
you click on them . For example, even in the NAV program itself, I can
not get it to load bully because nothig happens when i click on the
word "Next". I wanted to do a system restore, but i can not even get
that to open.

The support that norton offered was useless. They also included a
statement to the effect that maybe my computer problems were
"Coincidence". I will probably have to hire a tech to figure this out,
but wondered if anything similar had happened to others, and if so,
how did you fix it?

before trying a rollback, did you try to uninstall the symantec products?
