I love lidocaine and cortisone shots

No, not the pain when doc's sticking the needle in but for the first
time in over two months I'm out of pain in my left knee.

It was messed up years ago in a fall. I was stepping onto a curb and
missed my footing. Dragged the leg around for about three months. The
doctor couldn't figure out why it wasn't healing and x-rays didn't show
anything (they still don't). Had an arthroscopy done and turned out it
was a compression fracture under the knee cap (yes, it can happen). I
spent four months non-weight bearing.

When I went to the rheumy Friday and he put the shots in my knees (the
other one has a torn cartilage), I was feeling pretty good in just a
couple of hours. :)

He's recommended an x-ray (he'll find out that'll just be for starters)
and physical therapy.

The reason I was hurting so bad was I had done an exercise that was an
impact exercise. I thought it was ok because I do walk and it was
marching in place. Found out that ain't the same thing. When I told the
doctor, if looks could kill . . . .

I know, they same to check with your physician first. Now I'm doing
armchair exercises that are mostly upper body and midsection. When I
felt a twinge in my left knee with the little exercise that involved the
legs (nothing weight-bearing), I stopped and put some Biofreeze on it.
And didn't continue.
