Re: cymblata

I might add that, like many other medications, Cymbalta is also given to
Diabetics for neurological pain. I read that on the instruction ***. So,
here you have an antidepressant, which helps with the pain of FM and also of
Diabetes. In regard to *weaning off*, all antidepressants require the
tapering off. I don't have to worry about that, as I'm on them probably for
the rest of my life. Nanny

Nanny,
Thanks for the response, I am not really depressed so that is why I am
wondering, I have my moments where I am so frustrated and sometimes really
don't want to do anything or see anyone, but not most of the time. I want
something to help with the pain of the feet, hips and all the muscle aches
of fm and ra and the doctor told me about this but I have gotten both good
and bad on it and I don't like that you have to wean off of it.
Will wait for my visit with the neurologist to be done and then decided
about it.
Thanks and gave a great weekend.

Hi Becky. I've been on Cymbalta for about 6 weeks. My doctor switched
me from Paxil to this drug. I also have Clinical Depression, so he
started me on 60 mg. a day. I seem to have more energy during the day
when I need it, although I don't feel a big difference in pain from
taking it. It's still early on for me to give a complete evaluation, but
so far it's agreeing with me. Nanny

Has anyone tried this drug, I was told that it helps with fibro and it
may help the numbness in my feet also, I am to wait until I have the
neurologist appointment and then might consider taking it.
Becky
