I've been off it twice for about 4 weeks in the year I've been on it.
The pain usually hits me during the third week off Enberl and it's
worse the 4th week and then I'm delighted to be well enough to take it
again!
I am going into my third week now without due to a foul up in getting my
prescription renewed. The pain is coming back now and I had almost
forgotten what it is like. I hope to get my prescription soon. My RA doc
wanted to switch me to Remicade infusions. Reason one, he told me he
thinks it works better. Reason two, he said it is easier to get insurance
approval for it. I am now on Medicare as my primary insurance. I have a
supplemental policy that contains my prescription benefits. I will start
another thread on Remicade vs. Enbrel if it is inappropriate to do so here.
