Thanks for the promt response. I am on my feet all day for work. Do
you
recommend taking the day of the injection off or does the discomfort
from the shot
last just an hour or so?
Thanks-tortoise
Hi--
Before I had the shots, getting out of a chair was only possible with a
scream.
Horribly painful!
I got the Hylagan shots, they do smart quite a bit, but only for about the 8
seconds it takes to do each shot.
I had it done to both knees at the same time last summer. Five injections
each (total), one per week (both knees).
Sometimes the first shot doesn't help allot, but by the time you finish the
set of five shots, you feel much, much better.
They recommended that I take it easy and rest my knees for a day or two.
Just nothing up, down, strenuous.
But things like going out to eat, etc, is fine right after the shots.
For me it made a wonderful difference, still a year later.
A bit of pain coming back now, a year later, nothing at all like I had
before.
I'll probably get the knee shots again, and then my knees will probably be
good for years to come, I hope.
The shots may smart, but the results are so very good, that I would have
them done again in a heartbeat.
Best----
Ron
Thanks! I'm glad you did. I forgot about the "take it easy for a
couple of days." Sure does work, though.
