Have you discussed the rash with your doctor? Some have a short term
reaction to zyloprim, but it is usually temporary. Normally, you are put
on a high dose to start and as blood tests show how it is working, they
lower the dose. With a mild reaction, they would normally start you off
on a lower dose which would take longer to bring your uric acid levels
down, but down they will come.
Also, the higher your weight, and the higher your blood pressure, the
higher your uric acid will be.
