You are getting there. Wish Rach's problem had been as 'simple' as mine. I love her doctor too. :) Tell her hello for me and give Brett a pat on his tush. He'll know who it is from. rofl

seizure. We've been giving her Tranxene after seizures to keep them
from clustering and noticed that when she's on it, the surprise
response doesn't happen. She can get startled like anyone else and not
have a seizure.

The neuro. has decided that it's a good thing, at least for now. He
doesn't want to mess up her meds. too much while she's doing so well
otherwise. School is great, she's loving band and basically having a
wonderful school year. Her best yet. The Tranxene doesn't slow her down
or make her sleepy, so we're going to keep using it daily. The next
step is a PET scan next month to see if we can pinpoint an area of her
brain that's damaged. Nothing showed on MRI 3 times, but the Dr. thinks
that enough time has passed that something may show with the PET scan.

If something does show up, it may mean that Rach is a candidate for
surgery. I can't think about the implications of that right now. It's
too big for me to process in one chunk. I have to do this one step at a
time. So please continue to keep this tough little broad in your
hearts. She is really becoming an exceptional, artistic and nifty
person.
