Players getting noticed

Several defensive players were productive against Cincinnati.
1st rounder Brandon Graham was disruptive in the backfield and his high
motor was on display, again. Trevor Laws made his first impact with a
couple of consecutive backfield plays. Until those plays, I thought he
wasn't going to make the final 53, but I think he earned his roster spot
against Cincinnati.
4th rounder Trevard Lindley posted a 2nd nice game at CB; so did veterans
Patterson and Pope. 2nd rounder Nate Allen got mentioned early and Victor
Harris looked anything but macho.
Another 4th rounder, Keenan Clayton (dressed as Nick Cole) delivered some
vicious hits at LB. While Ernie Sims has been roughing everybody up at
Lehigh, I haven't noticed him, yet, in either game.
Based on the first 2 preseason games, all the defensive corps, DL, LB and DB
are starting to take shape. What appeared seriously overcrowded a month ago
is now starting to work itself out.
