I blame JP. I was against TO for a long time and I let JP convince me
everything would be ok.

I'm not a regular here so I figured I'd better say right away this isn't
meant as a troll. I read a lot of the football groups on Usenet. I
realize
it's a provocative question. It's difficult for fans to admit they were
wrong about something like sports. They don't call us fan(atics) for
nothing.
I'm curious how the whole T. Owens saga made the regulars in here feel? I
notice a lot of the same people who were head over heals in love with
Owens
when he arrived are now just like the Niner fans before them in loathing
him
and issuing warnings to the Cowboys. And now just like the Eagle fans
used to be, the Cowboy fans are quick to defend him against all those
warnings you guys might bring..
I guess I'm wondering if having the possibility of a winning team excuses
everything for some people or not? I might very well find myself hating
my home team if they signed Owens but then I'm not as rabid a fan as I
used
to be. Will winning excuse almost anything?
I'm not so much wondering how people feel about the team but about
themselves. Is it as simple as just feeling like you were conned or
worse?
