I think they could go OT early. But a suprise could be a MLB.
How long will Trotter's knees hold out? And who is the b/u MLB?
It won't be in RD 1 I don't think, but early.
Why do I have the suspicion that they trade up and get Ngata? Maybe it
has
something to do with his religion?
Dutchman
I think there are 3 or 4 guys they would trade up for. Ngata being on
that
list. He seems to be falling though too, so who knows how far they have
to
go to get him. I've read the arguments that he's a 2-gap DT and the
Eagles
use the 1-gap, and like smaller, fast DTs, so some people don't like Ngata
for the Eagles at all. I can't even comment, I don't watch enough college
football, now idea how fast he plays and can he make adjustments, and all
the highlight clips, media breakdown and combine numbers don't mean as
much
as how well he plays for 60 minutes.
I don't see anyway Bunkley is around when we pick either, but it seems
like
you can get some talent at DT all the way to the 3rd round? So does that
make the Eagles go for best player available?
JP
If they go BPA and don't trade up or down, look for Ernie Sims or Chad
Jackson.
I think they'll trade down if this is what's left. It also sounds like they
may prefer Holmes over Jackson from some reports.
Me thinks they'll trade up for Ngata, Bunkley or possibly Justice
if they don't think they'll fall, and that trade might include Hollis
Thomas.
It takes two teams to trade up though, and Hollis Thomas has little to no
value in trading up. It looks like the Jets may target Ngata (rumored to
trade down with Oakland) and there is little chance Bunkley lasts past the
Bills, and that is just way too high to go up for either of them. It would
cost a second rounder and then some likely.
It looks more and more like DT might be Round 2 or 3 now.
JP
I like Bunkley over Ngata but the Mormon connection is just too damn
convenient.
