After the first few games of the season, we all made excuses for TB and
chalked it up to "rust." After the beatdown to Tennessee, we all shouted
from the rooftops, "lookout everybody, Brady's back!" But the longer the
season goes on, I'm increasingly convinced that Tom's not 100%. And I'm
not necessarily attributing this to some undisclosed injury; I'm saying
that Tom really hasn't got his mojo back. I see him being tentative in the
pocket. Especially when defenders are flying around his legs. On the rare
occasion that Randy Moss gets wide open down field, he "doesn't see" him
(i.e. 2nd qtr. NO) or is off the mark. Also off the mark with othe deep
bals (i.e. Aiken 3rd qtr NO; and again today).
Now, the play calling -- when deciding to go for it on 4th down aside:
Remember when it was a no-brainer that on 4th and short TB would just get
up under center on a quick count and plow ahead for the 1 or 2 yards
needed on a QB sneak? That, to me is more evidence that either TB is
tentative about it, or the coaching staff is playing it safe with him. The
point I'm just trying to make here is that, as dissappointed as we all are
in the way the way this season is going, I'm not sure we' re being patient
enough with Brady. He's not back. And with the Pats in a rebuilding
year -defensively - there may be to much weight on TB to pull 'W's out of
his hat without his mojo.

He's getting old. His best years are behind him. Time to start thinking
about the future
and finding a more athletic QB that can move around the pocket. He's a
sitting duck.
