you addressed nothing from that last post. you capitulated
- end of
story.

Actually, the whole story is that I gave a very detailed
logical argument for how you've misapplied that whole notion
of 'blaming the victim' in this case, to which the sum total
of your response was 'oh yeah, well no I ditin't'.

you *are* blaming the victim.

So we're rtight back where we started. You've got no
intelligent response to my logical argument wherein I've
demonstrated that I'm not.

yes, i do. they are victims, and you are blaming them by saying
that the law and madoff's then iron-clad reputation wasn't
enough checking by them.

I never said that, but I'm starting to think that you've
created a world for yourself where you actually believe what
you'd like for people to have said instead of what they did say.

you *did* say that when you said the law made them trust too
much.

I didn't say that either. What I did say was:

"In fact, that's the exact problem with regulation. People come to
place too much faith in the notion that because something is against
the law, it must be nearly impossible for frauds like this to occur.
Conversley, if people were more conditioned to understand that they
should reply upon their own due dilligence when it comes to who
handles their money, frauds like this might not happen to this
extent."

Note the words "[too much] faith" and "[more] conditioned".

Now, you can keep insisting that this all means what you've said it
means, as well as to extrapolate from that the even more ridiculous
notion that I'm in any way blaming the victim, but it really only
means what it actually says. If I wanted it to mean what you said
it means, I would've used those words.

you need to get off the computer and spy on your neighbors.

I have no idea how that could possibly be relevant to any of this,
but I'm sure that you do.
