deregulation.
It's been a collasal failure.
The idea that deregulation is some sort of ideological philosophy is
nonsense. The real issue is how much regulation is enough, and how
much is too much. From that standpoint, whether regulations were
enacted which were then repealed (i.e., deregulation), or whether
there was an absence of regulation to begin with is irrelevant and
moot.
But here's a couple of challenges for you along the lines of what
you can understand. Which regulations were repealed that allowed
the Madoff scandal to happen? Prove that additional regulations
would've prevented it?
