existed. You've even quoted my acknowledgement of that, and tried to use

against me in a previous post! But since it's not convenient for you to
remember that right now, it's no surprise that you've "forgotten".

But you really need to face the facts here. In the United States, "every
kid" who violates such laws are not imprisoned. In fact, it's such a
rarity, that it usually makes headlines when it does happen, and only then
it's up there for the disbelief factor. Guess what? Most people even
shake
their heads when they read it.

You're in the minority view, polarhound. As I said, the US government
HASN'T done what you're advocating. If it was the current policy, then

never would have posted in the original thread to begin with! You
complained that something in the US wasn't being done -- that is, you're
advocating *changing* something, and that something happens to be
radically
different from what most americans believe.
