ESPN.com reports New England Patriots OL Nick Kaczur was arrested in April
for illegal possession of prescription painkillers and is cooperating with
federal agents in a sting of his supplier, according to The Boston Globe.
The lawyer of the alleged deal said Kaczur told investigators he had been
buying hundreds of oxycodone pills from the man since November of 2007,
according to the report. The dealer, Daniel Ekasala, was indicted Tuesday,
June 3, on three counts of possession of oxycodone with intent to
distribute. Kaczur denied taking part in a federal investigation or buying
drugs Tuesday, June 3, and said he was not familiar with Ekasala, according
to The Boston Globe.
