They are certainly faster and stronger, but the rule changes have
nullified any greater effect they might have on the game. It's swung
it the other way, where throwing the ball is easier than ever. Look at
guys like Derek Anderson and Tony Romo and the stats they put up.
These guys aren't even that good, and would have had a difficult time
throwing in the vertical era where it was important to hit deeper
passes. You should seriously cosider sending a letter to a scout, or
GM and ask them. Don't load the question towards my or your opinion,
and I bet you'll find that most would think Marino would do great
today. Just look at Marino's natural skillset, his abilities,and total
game. It's better than any quarterback playing today.
