Yup, its just a matter of figuring out what's the best configuration w/
what you have available. Up until now (well, 2 days from now), my optimal
config was putting as much stuff through the receiver as possible - but
its also pretty old (just not as old as my old TV), so the new TV is going
to be the king o' I/O in my entertainment center.
I'm sure down the road, I'll upgrade my receiver and that'll likely all
change.
C'est la vie :)
Jester, just a question.
Have you checked if there is any signal loss from your TV outputs.
Most of the time when you use a device for pass through like you are with
the TV for the audio, there is some loss.
Another thing is, are you running 5.1.
I'm not a big Samsung fan, but that TV would need L/R/C/LS/RS outputs plus
an LFE output to do 5.1.
