Rodney has given them little to nothing for the last 2 years because of
'old man river' catching up with him and could easily make that 3 in a
row if a helmets glances off his knee just right, or he cuts wrong. an
aging veteran, in that light, a little give-back greases the wheels.

You might be right, but that just reeks of penny-pinching on a guy who's
given so much. By the same token, why wasn't Dillon required to take a
paycut last year?


Maybe Dillon just said no. It would've been tough to
let him go with a rookie backing him up.

Harrison...Veteran players are often asked to restructure,
but in Rodney's case Belichick was just giving him
something to scream "no respect" about so he can have
another great year. :)
