Re: Question for Pat fans

Steve, you find no correlation that Vinny's career took a turn for the
better once he was out of Tampa?

I acknowledged that, but that wasn't the question.

First and foremost, I think Vinny was part of the problem in Tampa Bay
(Hence the Interceptaverde comment). If you forget the Tampa portion of his
career ever happened, you've still got a guy playing about 15 years who had
a couple very good years.....but largely a mediocre career, and certainly
nothing that makes you think of a #1 pick. Vinny had great years in 1994
and 1998.

To go back to your original question.......well let's say I'm not about to
compare Parcells to whomever was in Tampa, but at the same time, you may
need to refresh your memory of how God awful the Patriots were. The three
years before Bledsoe arrived, they won 1,6 and 2 games (my first three years
of college, east to remember). Two years later we won 7 in a row and made
the playoffs (losing to Vinny). I'll give Parcells his props, yes, but
Vinny's Tampa teams stayed miserable, Drew's NE teams did not. At least
Vinny was never a Ryan Leaf.
