Despite the relentless media witch hunt which has hounded Imus since
his gaffe, no one has mentioned that well known Stevie Wonder song "I

Was for Christmas what would be my toy"
This is actually a nice feel good song from the 70's. Did Imus get
fired because he said "nappy headed" or "ho's"? Either way it seems
like a cowardly P.C. reaction to a bunch of crybaby whiners who, for
whatever reasons, seem to have a compelling need to be portrayed as
"victims" (of what I'm not sure).
I hate Imus. His show is awful and he's a creep. But this whole thing
has gotten blown out of proportion. He said basically what Howard Stern
and his clones say on a day when they're actually being nice. The problem
is that, for some reason, at some point people began viewing Imus as a
legitimate pundit. It's completely laughable. He is, and always has
been, a dopey radio guy. Nothing more. Dopey radio guys are supposed to
say dopey things, so remind me what the big deal is again?
Mark, you never cease to amaze me with your intelligence. I have been saying
this for days that the most shocking thing is people are actually outrage
that he said this. They must have been in a cave for the last 30 years. You
and I need to meet for a beer some day.
