Gay given 2nd round tender

Today was the deadline for RFAs. It appears they only tendered Randall Gay,
and they did it for $1.3M. This means that other teams will have to give
the Pats a 2nd round pick to sign him. Their other options would have been
to tender him with the lowest offer (~$800k), essentially making him a UFA;
or tender him with a higher offer which would require a first round pick if
another team signs him. Looks like the 2nd round tender was the right
choice.
