I have not been around long enough to be able to adequately assess
every player in Patriots' history (I've basically been a fan since
1978, when I was 9). So this list probably is incomplete. But that's
where the rest of you chime in. I'll give the positions and 2-3
candidates. Then, I'll offer my "vote". The rest of you can add
candidates and place your votes. Should be fun.
Quarterback
- Tom Brady
- Drew Bledsoe
- Steve Grogan
- Babe Parilli
- Jim Plunkett
Obviously one will be Brady
The other... hmm...
Before I go on, should we basing this on performances only while in NE, or
like with Dillon for RB's, should we also include time spent on other teams?
Probably in terms of their time with the Patriots. That makes the most
sense. Thus, Ted Washington wasn't a guy I voted for, even though he
is/was a terrific NT for years. Only played one season for the Pats.
But you can do it however you want. Your reasoning is your own to work
out.
John
