Sounds like a "Sue anyone with money and get rich" scheme that the
Democrats love!!!!
Fact:
Leading the fight against malpractice reform is the Association of
Trial Lawyers of America, one of the biggest campaign contributors in
politics. ATLA's PAC and employees contributed $2.4 million in the
last election cycle, 92 percent of which went to Democrats. ATLA has
said the proposed cap on malpractice awards would do little other than
allow doctors and insurance companies to evade accountability for
medical errors. ATLA spent $7.6 million lobbying the federal government
during all of 2003 and the first half of 2004.
