Electronics issues can be a different story. While I've never had an issue with the electronics in one, the computers and such die in all cars. The difference is the effect produced by it.

Of those companies, the one to watch is Hyundai. Their quality has gone up
steadily and they are such a massive company in SK, they could become a
major player. Thy have a shipbuilding plant that cut the time to build a
large ship (freighter, cruise ship, etc) from two years to four months.

The problem with Hyundai is that if you've ever driven one you can see why they cost what they do. Uncomfortable, cheap interiors (the fake wood veneer is tacky), substandard performance. People are often looking for more than just reliability. Of course a car is going to have greater reliability if the features that break can't break because they're not present to begin with.
