what they are most loath to do -- get into a bidding war. The Pats are
over a barrel. A smarter negotiator would have opened a dialogue with
them before their hand was empty. A trade is now unlikely and costly.
The Bills have no incentive to deal with the Pats now that they have
seen their hand. They would sooner let him walk than trade him to a
division rival to begin with, and the cost of Moulds went up when the
Pats depth chart got thin. The Pats are negotiating from a position of
weakness.
