I think QB rating is one of the least meaningless stats for QB play.
(least meaningless?)
What it fails to take into account though is overall production. Two guys
with the same QB rating, one throwing 40 passes a game and the other
throwing 25 passes - the edge should probably go to the guy who threw more
passes, and therefore more completions, yards, etc. They need some sort
of multiplicative index to take into account production and just multiply
it with the QB rating and get a super-QB-rating!
