INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Eric Gordon hopes to have a long-term future with
his next NBA team, even if it means staying in New Orleans. The shooting
guard and catalyst in the trade that sent Chris Paul to the Los Angeles

Clippers is expected to become a restricted free agent July 1, giving
the Hornets the opportunity to match any offer from another team. During
a break at the Indiana-Kentucky boys All-Star game in Indianapolis,
Gordon, who grew up in Indy and played one season at Indiana University,
told The Associated Press that he was looking for a long-term
destination. He did not discuss how much he expected to be offered on
the open market. But Gordon did say he enjoyed New Orleans and it would
be an amenable landing spot.
