But rival executives were circulating this conspiracy theory Monday
night:
Was it a coincidence that the Clippers were able to get Billups for $2
million when they were negotiating a related trade with the league
office,
which knew the competing bids?
Geez ... is this the worst off-season of all time for the NBA front
office ?
This has really been a downer of a start to the 2011-2 season - I hope
somehow/way Stern gets his ass handed to him over all this crap.
For me, the season is unquestionably tainted. One of the favorites for the championship has been significantly damaged as a result of the clusterfuck of interfered-with trade negotiations. Odom's departure is a direct result of this.
It seems like forever ago when the season ended and most Laker fans agreed that this team didn't need more than a bit of tweaking. The exception being if the opportunity presented itself to get Dwight Howard. They've given away a valuable player and are on the verge of blowing the whole thing up without even getting a chance at Howard.
