OT The Bush vision for democracy in the Middle East

is coming to fruition.

The liberal media cannot bring itself to admit this, but it seems
pretty obvious what is happening. After seeing Saddam Hussein, the
region's worst tyrant, captured and hanged, and witnessing our
overwhelming victory in Iraq and the nation's transition to a
functional democracy, the people of the region now know that freedom
is within their grasp.

"Across the Arab world, people living under the thumb of repressive
leaders are rising up against the rulers who once seemed omnipotent.

They are using the Internet to network and spread the word. They are
watching themselves on satellite television. They are drawing strength
from the hyperactive energy of the frustrated young people dismissed
and discarded by their governments."

"Iraqi democracy will succeed, and that success will send forth the
news, from Damascus to Tehran, that freedom can be the future of every
nation," [Bush] said.

"The establishment of a free Iraq at the heart of the Middle East will
be a watershed event in the global democratic revolution."
