lots of sunsets...never any lightning...another thing that's fun to catch

That coos river shot was unusual, I have driven that road hundreds of
times and never seen the river really still. That is still tidewater and
it must have been slack tide and no breeze, 15 minutes later the river
was choppy.



being at the right place at the right time sure helps but the composition
is nice...the grass in the foreground really frames it nicely too

BTW I have PSP 8(I'm going to get 12 when I have a chance) and it
didn't have those adjustments you used


I have PSP photo X2. I think that is still the current version. I still
use it over PS CS3 some nice person gave me, because I am lazy...


I use PSP on my old everyday laptop...it can't handle PS. I have that on my
astro laptop that I use to handle my camera,scope and photo processing.
I've been using PSP for about 10-15 years...

on my photo but here it is with some deconvolution...
that's an 80mm fl 447 with less than 5 minutes of light frames...
it rivals what I use to do with a 254mm fl 2500mm and a single 30
minute exposure...

no greek...an 80mm (3 inch)telescope with a focal length of 447mm @
f5.6...my old telescope was a 10 inch with a focal length of 2500mm @ f10
with the smaller scope I took a total of about 5 minutes worth of photos 18
in all...none more than 30 seconds long and stacked them together...I use
to have to take a 30 minute exposure with the bigger scope and no film was
so blue sensitive

I'm happy with it...considering the conditions...all the shots were test
shots for focus, alignment, sky glow limits...I hope to get out there and
have everything setup together and get some real data...of course nothing
in Alson's range...that's like an old bicycle racing a Harley
